Rules & Restrictions
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
We are a legal charter boat and as such we have to comply with Transport Canada rules around safety. When you arrive there will be a short safety briefing and demonstration before we can leave the dock. We ask that you make sure your entire party arrives 10-15 mins before the start of your charter so we can load your guests, personal items and food and beverages on board and get the safety briefing completed in order to leave the dock on time.
Note that we will not do the safety briefing until all of your guests have arrived. If you or your guests are late then this will reduce the amount of time you have to enjoy your cruise and we prefer to leave on time to maximize your enjoyment.
There is NO VAPING OR SMOKING OR DRUG USE allowed on the boat at all. If you or your guests must smoke or vape then please let us know before we leave the dock and we will be happy to bring them to land so they can get off the boat and smoke/vape during the cruise and then get back on the boat when they are done.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
- Anything orange i.e. Doritos, cheesies, flavoured popcorn
- Soy sauce (if you bring sushi, we will put soy sauce on the sushi before it is served)
- Any sprinkles
- Tomatoes
- If you are bringing a cake, please review it with us first to make sure it can be brought onboard
- All beverages must be clear and we do not allow red wine or tomato/clamato juice on the boat
- No hard liquor i.e. shots. Pre-mixed drinks are fine as long as they are clear and not red/orange
- If you are bringing your own food, please bring it at the temperature that you want it served; we will have a limited amount of ice on board so we strongly recommend that you pre-chill your beverages for your enjoyment.
- All alcoholic beverages will be poured by our crew and it is illegal to consume alcohol while the boat is moving as per Transport Canada guidelines. You can consume alcohol anytime we are at a dock, land or at anchor. In the rare event that we are stopped by the Marine Police or coast guard, any fines for open alcohol will be the responsibility of the guest and not the crew or captain
- The crew will dispose of all garbage and recycling at the end of your cruise and ensure that your belongings are safely and neatly off the boat. Please keep in mind that we try to minimize use of single use plastics and minimize wastage.
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
- Decompression cruises are barefoot events! You will be asked to remove your shoes at boarding and they will be placed in a box that will come with us. When you disembark, your shoes will be returned to you and your guests.
- If you would like to swim during the charter, please bring towels and a change of clothing. It’s also a good idea to bring a bag to put your wet items in to transport them home.
- Please bring sunscreen and a hat as well as a jacket if you are having an evening cruise as it can sometimes get a bit windy and cooler depending on the time of year of your cruise.
- If you or your children would like to swim with a lifejacket you will need to bring your own, as our lifejackets are for emergencies only and will not be given out for recreational purposes.
- We will only cancel a trip due to weather if there is lightning and/or thunder. I.e. we will not cancel the trip if it is raining as often when it’s raining on land, it’s not on the water. If you have questions about the weather or possible cancellations, please reach out to us immediately by contacting our captain Greig at 416-564-6700.
- We do not allow any of the following items on board:
- Balloons of any kind
- Streamers
- Confetti
- Firecrackers or anything that involves fire (other than birthday candles) for obvious safety reasons
